Tuscan Wine Party With Capezzana Winery

A Tuscan Wine Party: Leone Contini Bonacossi, the heir to the Capezzana Winery in Tuscany will be flying in to Denver and bringing his family’s wines for our tasting. Capezzana the “King of Carmignano” on the hills overlooking Florence, is the birthplace of Super Tuscans. For 12 centuries, this winery has made some of the finest wines in Italy. The winery is also known for their olive oil which you will be able to sample along with their cooking school in the heart of Tuscany.

We will be pairing Capezzana wines with passed appetizers

What: A Tuscan Wine Party with Count Leone Contini Bonacossi with the Capezzana Winery in Tuscany

When: Wednesday February 24, 2010
Time: 6:00 pm-7:30 pm (please be prompt as we will be serving each wine and appetizer paired)
Location: Pizza Republica, the new upscale Italian restaurant in the Landmark DTC entertainment district.
Dress: Dressy Casual/Business
Crowd: Between 60-80 Young to Mid Professionals (our last few events were 85 attendees with a wait list)
Cost: $28.00 in advance, $35.00 at the door if it isn’t sold out (our last few events sold out)

Wines to be poured:
Conti Contini, Sangiovese
Barco Reale di Carmignano, Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon
Villa di Capazzana, Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon
Ghiaie Della Furba, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah
Two of these wines are middle and higher end wines

Olive Oil: Conte Contini Bonacossi, Capazzana, Olio Extravergine di Oliva

DINNER AFTER THE EVENT: Pizza Republica is participating in Restaurant Week. This is a 3-4 course menu for $26.50 a person plus tax and tip. Please note on eventbrite if you plan to stay for dinner so we reserve enough space at 7:45 pm for attendees. Restaurant week is busy and you may not get a last minute reservation so let us know in advance. We’ll post the selections for restaurant week soon.
